How to cite Bing Maps API

Hi. I am using Bing Maps API for reverse geocoding in my master thesis. I show the results that I get from the API (the addresses) in one of the pictures.
My question is: is it ok, that I use the results in a thesis? If so, how do I cite them? The url that I am using is: http://dev.virtualearth.net/REST/v1/Locations/... Thank you for your answers.

Hi @Miha Rejec ,

When you look at Bing.com/maps you will see attribution in the lower right hand corner. The license information for Bing Maps APIs includes attribution requirements as documented here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/maps/product.

Specifically for print rights refer to the subsection https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/maps/product/print-rights which clarifies the copyright given in the answer must be included or if you are showing the resulting point on the Bing Maps Control, the attribution must not be removed or obscured.

As I stated above, attribution must be given and for further clarification, email the maps licensing team at Maplic at Microsoft dot com and they are the licensing team so know the terms.

@IoTGirl I know that the attribution must be given, that is why I asked how I should do it. I also sent an email to the address you gave me, but I didn't get any response - that is why I asked here again.
I will try to do the attribution myself and I hope I do it correctly.

Hi Miha, The REST API call gives the attribution in the reply so I am unsure where your confusion lies. Did you also see https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/maps/brand-guidelines? THis is more for if you are making a mobile application but it talks about the parts needed in attribution specifically. Sincerely, IoTGirl
