How to match AWS EC2 instances with Azure instances

Question

I have to think this question has been asked before but I can't find a simple answer. I have 200 EC2 instances running on AWS. I would like to upload a simple CSV that lists the instances and see what is comparable on Azure with the Azure cost. A basic match. Yes i would install azure migrate and collect the data but I would like to just do a CSV. Anyone have any suggestions where I can say r5.4x could equal Standard_E32s_v3 1

There is no direct tool but you can create your own tool by using excel and the following steps

• create an Excel with your AWS instances
• Use the following mapping table as a reference to find equivalent Azure VMs:
• https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/aws-ec2-to-azure-vm-conversion
• Create a new column for the Azure equivalent VMs and map the appropriate instances using the reference table.
• To get the cost estimates for the mapped Azure VMs, you can use the Azure Pricing Calculator:
