How to fix hotmail not receiving or sending emails

Question

Suddenly my email account stopped sending and receiving emails. There has been no change to filters/blocked sender list/rules/checked storage etc changed my password etc but the problem is still there. Is there anything else I can do?

Outlook.com (hotmail) is not currently supported here on Q&A. The product group for Outlook.com actively monitors questions in dedicated forums here.
