Hi Erland, I have same issue. Initially I reinstalled SQL cause unable to connect to server. And after second attempt it showed like this https://prnt.sc/go64VhTR2IbH. The ERRRORLOG's written here,

These are not the relevant messages you should provide. Keep checking the log files and try to find the error and not the informational messages.

Normally, we are mainly interested in summary.txt and detail.txt. I'm uncertain what you have when it fails this early in the process. But attach the files you find?
It appears that your first installation attempt failed with the error about waiting for the database startup engine, since you post messages from the ERRORLOG. Could you attach the full ERRORLOG? You will need to rename it to ERRORLOG.txt for the forum software to accept it.

The location by default is: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\160\Setup Bootstrap\Log There is a summary.txt file and many subfolders created every time the Installation wizard is started. In those subfolders, we can also find a Detail.txt file.
