Change single word URL from search term to hostname first

Question

So I have a URL that if I input "dwp" in the URL, it opens in the search engine. But if I enter http://dwp it will open the intranet application URL. Is there a group policy setting change the first option to search for hostname instead of using search term? Thank you!

Finally was able to find it. Here is where you configure one word searches within Edge.

https://gpsearch.azurewebsites.net/Default_legacy.aspx?PolicyID=15056

FYI, you need to add the msedge ADML/ADMX files to the central store before you see it in GP management.

The situation you described, according to my knowledge, does not seem to be solved by Group Policy. You can try to solve it with Javascript, but our forum does not provide this service and it is beyond the scope of our knowledge. You can try Ask for help in Java products
