Is there a way to auto-update URLs in Sharepoint Online?

Hey all,
We're migrating a bunch of wiki pages from an antiquated server to SharePoint Online. Some of the wiki pages have links to an old ProjectWise server, rather than using the dns alias. While the groups are migrating these wiki pages into SharePoint they're supposed to be updating these old link to the alias, so that if the ProjectWise server is changed again it won't break these links.

We've seen that the interns and such that are our copy/paste drones are forgetting at times to change the links to the alias. So, i was hoping there's a way in SharePoint that i haven't found yet that would do like a scheduled task to scan the pages and fix any of those old links that were missed being updated. And if possible to do this for any future pages that are added as we continue this migration from our Wiki server.

Hi @kormath ,

Currently there is no way to auto-update links in wiki page with a schedule task.

You need to check and change links manually.

Thanks @JulieWang-MSFT Scheduled task was just an example, so there's no option to automate updating links for these folks in SharePoint or one of the tools like Flow or Automate?

Hi @kormath ,

Per my research the Power AutoMate(flow) has no option to get or update links in wiki page.

As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, SharePoint Online does not natively support automatic URL updates for documents or items within a library. URLs in SharePoint Online are typically based on the location and name of the document or item and are not designed to change automatically.
