SCCM DP pxe deployment fails with generic 4005 errors

Migrated to a new site system that is currently on 2211 site version 5.0.9096.1000 Site system and DP's are running Server 2019. Running only Http on on systems. Migrated Distribution points over and tried to pxe. We started to receive 0xc000000f when the device attempts to load/launch pxe boot. Checked the WDS log files on the DP and seen this. The PXE server processed a request from a client of architecture x64uefi. However there were no boot images installed for this architecture. PXE clients of this architecture will not be able to complete the boot process successfully. To resolve this problem, add at least one boot image for this architecture. Steps Taken so far:

removed DP and re-added
1. removed pxe and re-added while removing remote install folder
Built new DP/Server, the errors mirror each other on all DP's
removed MP and re-added
Opened case with MS, so far no help!!!!
built new boot images and distributed

So I switched imaging to the Main Site server since I kept getting mp key errors on the DP and that works via Pxe using WDS. This is not ideal since its our main site system. I am still working through the same errors above on the DP's but seems to be a start. I have found two problems one was the Task sequence from our old SCCM server seems like its corrupt. Created a new TS with a boot image we already had for testing and Pxe loaded. I thought that was the full problem, so I moved imaging back to the DP and it fails still with the same 0x0000000f error. Not a solution but a work around for the moment since we have had imaging down for 2 weeks now.

Hi @Jensen, Thomas,

1, Have you configured your WDS server? Please help check if it is running? If so, please disable it.

2, What is the image path you are specified?

3, Please help update distribution points with the boot image and select Reload this boot image with the current Window PE version from the Windows ADK.

4, Besides, we are no longer recommend using the DHCP option, we recommend that you use IP Helper instead of it.

Try also to re-assign TS to Unknown collection that policies will get refreshed.

Update ADK and re-create boot image inside CM, and ensure you are inserting certs. In a past, you had an option to insert certificate directly in boot image, but nowadays I recall it happends automatically, but you still need to create certificate for boot image. Also, updating ADK will refresh boot images as well.

Currently using ADK version https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2120254 I reinstalled ADK and then redeployed boot images after updating. I did not see any difference in logs for Pxe. No errors in mpcontrol also. When I try to pxe now I see this message flash very quickly SCCM PXE "PXE-E16: No offer received

No offer received could mean, that boot image + Task Sequence is not assigned to Unknown Computers, or pxe helper does not point to correct location.

I remember that for PXE, you had to create additional certificate template. Try to go through MS docs and re-do that step.

I thought that is for Pki/ssl Deployments ? I am using self signed certs only from the PXE deployments now. If you checked my other comments to Cherry I was able to get this working on the MP site for Pxe boot. This is only a work around for now since I can't keep the DP/pxe on my main site server. I just added the pxe option using WDS to the site system and tested and that works so the MP cert issue is my problem still.

1, Please help upload a screenshot about error 0xc000000f for our reference.

2, What is the ADK version you are using? Please help check if the boot image was distributed successfully?

3, We may try to enable a PXE responder to see if the problem is resolved.

4, Your environment is using http without https, right? Are the clients you are deploying on the same network as the SCCM server? Can client get the right IP before load the boot image? Have you configured IP option 66,67 or IP helper for PXE?

Since you did a migration, first question is - are other roles functional? Can you install apps from Software Center? I also think certifications and https-only is now mandatory, so you need to have certs.

Everything else is fully functional. I have valid ssl role cert for port 443 in IIS. Software center, patching all other service/functions are working as expected. Pxe/OSD is the only thing not working atm. I am able to replicate those same errors on every systems I have tested OSD/pxe on as well. The only warning I am getting at the moment via MP_control is MP has discarded a report when processing Ddr. Nothing is in critical status though. Are you saying that using https is requirement now?
