Hi,

When i tried to drag the Internet Explorer screen from left to right using two fingers the explorer window is getting resized. It looks strange and as per my requirement i need to disable this issue.

Is anyone has idea how to disable this featue in windows 10?

Hi,
Based on my search, official way to disable touchscreen gestures is only use group policy
gpedit.msc
Local Computer Policy>Computer Configuration>Administrative templates>Windows Components>EdgeUI>Allow edge swipe = Disabled
We can do this to enable the keyboard actions and disable the mouse actions:

Please go to “Control Panel - Ease of Access Center”.
Go to “Make the mouse easier to use” and check the item “Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen.”.
Then go to “Make the keyboard easier to use” and uncheck the item “Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen.”.
After applying the settings, if you drag the window to the edge of the screen, it will not be “auto-maximize”; and you can use the function with the hotkeys (Win+Up, Win+Left Win+Right,etc.).

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I tried the solution provided by you but it is not working.

It looks like its a windows feature, if you open any window like regedit or notepad window, there also when i drag the screen using finger immediately the window size will become smaller and i get an option to create New desktop. So i need to completely disable this feature.

Please let me know is there any way to come out of this feature.

So I consider that if you have the setting below:

Since scrolling is an essential function, it may not be feasible to disable scrolling via touchpad.
check your touchpad driver’s settings to see if it lets you set scrolling to three or four finger scroll. The default setting in Windows 10 doesn’t support this particular customization though your touchpad driver, especially if it’s a Snaptics driver, might support it.
Meanwhile, for some computer manufacturers, they have a proprietary software they bundle with your laptop for managing touchpad gestures.

Hi,

Thank you very much for your reply. We don't have any external Touch pad drivers.

Is there anything we can do it in html code where we can set the page to fixed size or anything?
