Hello,

I am looking for step-by-step help on setting up a Virtual Desktop in Microsoft Azure to be used on my Macbook Pro app "Microsoft Remote Desktop". There does not seem to be very much information on how to actually set up a virtual desktop and the Microsoft support team was unable to walk me through the process. Thank you for your help.

    Hi @Patrick Dawson

The setup for a Virtual Machine/Desktop will be the same, you'll just need to deploy a Virtual Machine and Remote to it with your preferred Remote Desktop Application using the Virtual Machine's IP. We have a step-by-step guide on getting started with creating new Virtual Machine here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/windows/quick-create-portal

We do have an App on the Apple Store you can download here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/microsoft-remote-desktop/id1295203466
This App also has a guide on setup and getting connected to your Virtual Machine: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/remote/remote-desktop-services/clients/remote-desktop-mac

Your VM need a Public IP like described in the Quickstart Guide.

You can see the Public IP in the VM Overview after the VM is started:

Just add the IP in the Micosoft Remote Desktop app on your Macbook Pro and connect:
