Microsoft teams

Question

I have tried to install microsoft teams for home personal use but when ever I try to set up the acount after downloading it . It states the email I wish to use looks like it belongs to a school and sends me on to the school set up page for teams . One that is not free and I need to buy . I have been on microsoft support and managed to get through to a actual support person only to discover they only deal with X box billing problems ? and that the support section I need is supprise , supprise unavailable . So the question is the offer for the basic teams bogus and the only way to get it is to buy it ,or can you actually get it for home use as stated on a PC .

Hello,

Microsoft Teams is a collaboration application for businesses, nothing to do with Skype, so it seems quite normal to me that you can't use it for home use, a subscription to Microsoft 365 Enterprise being logically necessary.

For personal use, I suggest Skype.

You can try to use Microsoft Teams free to create your own organization using your own personal Microsoft Account. Then you can invite people to join in your Teams. For more details about it, you can refer to:
