Hi,
I've started Windows (x64 Professional) in safe mode. Using WPR, I'd like to start boot tracing for the next boot sequence which will be in normal mode, not in safe mode. However, if I start WPR, select "Boot" as the "Performance scenario" and click on Start, I get an error message because this operation is not possible in safe mode. Why do I get this message? It's true that I'm in safe mode now, but tracing will take place with the next boot sequence which will not be in safe mode, hence it should be possible to activate it now. What is the reason for this limitation?

No, there is no error id in event log. WPR itself says "The request is not supported." (errror 0x80070032)

0x80070032 means not supported, so I'd suggest to check if the WPR compatible with the system version or not.

this action is not supported because Windows is in safe mode. It works well if it's not in safe mode. It's not a question of the system version.
My question was why I can't start WPR to log the next boot sequence that will not be in safe mode. However, as the reason for me performing this action has gone meanwhile, we can consider this question obsolete.
