How to play FLAC in MPEG-DASH that is DRM protected?

We're trying to play MPEG-DASH stream with FLAC audio that has 8 channels using C#/UWP and its MediaPlayerElement. It actually works well and the audio that uses FLAC codec works well.

- When we add DRM/PlayReady protection into our stream, the playback wont start with following error:
- Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070241)

What is the cause of an issue and how to resolve it? Can anyone recommend us some alternative audio codec (instead of FLAC) that supports 7.1 (8 channels)? We've verified that the issue is not related to corrupted system files and happens on multiple devices we tried.

PlayReady is generally supported directly by the product team. If you have registered for PlayReady, there should be an alias that you can contact for PlayReady specific support.

2023-04-14T09:54:34.33+00:00 Hi @Junjie Zhu - MSFT thank you for your answer. We've already written to PlayReady support team. However, my guess is that the issue is caused by the following factor:
- PlayReady verifies digital signature of the codec DLL that is used to play the content I've found that MSFlacDecoder.dll file that is the codec file used for FLAC audio tracks is not digitally signed. Would it be possible to digitally sign this file (and possibly other coedecs) in future updates of Windows?
Also please note that we do not have direct PlayReady license, but we use Azure Media services for key delivery.

However, we traced the issue to the missing digital signature on codec file that is not part of PlayReady. It's standard part of OS Windows and its SDK. So it would be nice to have used codec DLL digitally signed (MsFlacDecoder.dll).
