Universal Print with Ricoh C4500 - intermittently stop and require restart of printer

We have 2 Ricoh C4500 MFA printers with the Print-Up app installed. Printing has been working fine but we notice that occasionally a printer will stop accepting print jobs unless we power cycle the printer, after which it works fine. The printers do it independent of each other, one will stop and require reboot while the other will continue working.

Is there some type of session timeout that could be dropping the printer connection to Microsoft Universal Print? I don't think it is driver related as it will work for days/weeks without issue. I suspect the timeout as the printers are not used as heavily as they once were now that we have a lot of people working remotely. Any other ideas I should look at? TIA John R

Hi @John R I read somewhere the default session timeout for Universal Print is 30 minutes, but I’m not sure. You might try Set-UPConfiguration -SessionTimeoutInMinutes 60 in PowerShell to increase the session timeout value for Universal Print. PowerShell Module - Universal Print | Microsoft Learn I hope this helps!
