How to add iOS devices to Azure AD without Company Portal

Question

I have enrolled my devices to Intune through ABM and they show up there, but when I want to add them to a group to apply policies, I can only see the ones I have signed into on Company Portal. These iPads are really going to be assigned to a user, but to an area in the organization. Is there a way to do this?

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Q&A.

ABM registered devices get the management profile only when they are restarted OOB or reset after applying the profile.

The MDM policies could be applied only once the device is enrolled to Intune. Kindly validate the following:

• What policies are you trying to apply? screenshot would help.
• If you could see impacted device showing as enrolled by navigating to
• Devices > iOS/iPadOS > iOS/iPadOS enrollment > Enrollment Program Tokens.
• Select the token in the list, and then select Devices, look for impacted device by serial number.
