Unable to view Azure Function App in VS Code

I am facing an issue where other team members with the at least Contributor role are unable to view Azure Function Apps in Visual Studio Code using the Azure Functions Extension. The creator of the Function App can see it without any problems. The team members can see it in the portal but not in VS Code.

We have already ensured that the user has the correct role assigned and have checked the common troubleshooting steps.

Here's what we've tried so far:

  • Verified that the user has the Contributor role in the resource group containing the Function App.
  • Ensured the user is connected to the correct subscription in VS Code.
  • Checked for any synchronization delays, but the issue persists even after waiting for several hours.
  • Verified that the user can see other resources within the resource group.
  • Updated and restarted VS Code, and refreshed the Azure Functions view. Despite following these steps, the other users still cannot see the Function App in VS Code. We would appreciate any suggestions or insights from the community on how to resolve this issue.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Kohl, Konstantin Sorry for the delay in response and appreciate you sharing the detailed troubleshooting steps you have done so far. Based on your description, you are able to view other resources in Resources (Remote) -> Your Subscription menu, however Function app is not displayed as described here.

Azure Functions extension issues are being addressed in GitHub Repo: https://github.com/microsoft/vscode-azurefunctions/issues and please file an issue with details such as VS code version, Azure Function extension version, Core tools etc. along with screenshots (portal, VS code) if possible.

Our product team can review and assist you further. I will also help you in engaging them there.
