SSRS does not render detail rows

I have SSRS 14.0.1016.232 for VS 2015. It's newly installed on this laptop.

When rendering a report within VS, the detail section will sometimes not display on screen - just blank rows. The data is present in the report - if I export the report to .CSV or .PDF, it looks fine. But on screen all I see is blank rows. The number of blank rows corresponds to the amount of data. This does not seem to affect totals. The totals are correctly displayed even though the detail is blank.

This is not consistent between reports. On some reports/subreports, I can see the detail rows. On others I cannot. Any given report/subreport is consistent. Either I can see it or I can't. Within the same report, some subreports will be fine and others blank.

I checked the installation logs and do not see any errors. SSRS/VS does not report any errors during report execution.

Other users do not have any problems with these reports.

    Hi @Joshua Smith ,
VS/SSDT preview render is not the same as SSRS server report render.
It be could something wrong with VS previewer. It is quite rare and hard to say what happens within VS for this scene.
Honestly we from SSRS side cannot really debug VS extension. I would suggest you to use newest version of SSDT. As I know it should be 17.4 for VS 2015. See : SSDT for Visual Studio (VS) 2015
