Adding multiple lines of data to a Sharepoint online list

Question

I have a sharepoint online site where we us a List to track my teams work (we use it for analysis purposes). Each team member initially logs the details into their own excel spreadsheet (template is identical to the List fields) and then when it is ready, they copy and paste it into the sharepoint list. In most cases we copy across multiple lines of data at once and use the 'Quick Edit' button to do this. In the last couple of weeks we have been having troubles pasting multiple lines of data - the list just sits there and the 'wheel' just keeps spinning (and you can't click Exit Quick Edit). We have worked out a work around (we paste in just one line of data and then click in the next line, paste the rest of the data and it will then work - we then Exit Quick Edit) I just wondered if there have been any recent updates that may have caused this or if there is any way it will simply add multiple lines of data like it used to. The above happens when using both Edge and Chrome

Any help or ideas would be appreciated!

Per my understanding, you are using modern experience in SharePoint Online. If this is not your scenario, please let me know more information about your current situation.
Does this issue occur on all the lists in your site , or only a specific list? Please have tests on a newly created site.
Through tests in different lists, I can’t reproduce your issue in my end. However many users said some similar issues disappeared after converting modern experience to classic experience. You can have a try. And you can open a service request on this issue for more help.
