Hi, we are planning to create some SUSE reservations, but finance team wants to know if we will get it charged in the same or a different invoice specific to it being upfront payment, Can someone please confirm? We know compute reservations come in the same invoice but SUSE is different for us (due to upfront payment), so finance wants to have it in a separated invoice. Thanks in advance

Hello @David Martinez Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A platform. Azure software plans for SUSE reservations that apply to deployed VMs is based on Prepay for Azure software plans

When you purchase Azure SUSE reservations, you will be charged upfront for the entire reservation term. The reservation charges will appear on your regular Azure invoice, but they will be listed separately from your other usage charges.

    • For an enterprise subscription, the charges are deducted from the enrollment's Azure Prepayment (previously called monetary commitment) balance or charged as overage.
    • For an individual subscription with pay-as-you-go pricing, the charges are billed to the subscription's credit card or invoice payment method.

If you need a separate invoice for the reservation charges, you can download a copy of your invoice from the Azure portal and provide it to your finance team. You can also set up billing alerts in the Azure portal to receive notifications when your reservation charges are billed.

It's worth noting that the reservation charges will be prorated if you cancel the reservation before the end of the term. The prorated charges will appear on your next invoice.
