We have a multitenant SharePoint Online app that is running on many tenants. Yesterday evening two of the tenants start having issue with using the App. We get an

Error code: -2147467259, Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException Error message:

We can see the issue is related to a specific SharePoint list in the App. We can access the list settings from the site. However, all columns are gone? when clicking on content type or list it gives an error. trying to create a new column gives the same error. It looks like an access error.

Now this is very odd, since the customer has been using the App over 5 years. Yesterday morning all worked as normal. But since yesterday evening we have the issue.

I know I don't have much information here. But this is what we got.

It is highly critical as it is a business critical application. I did create a support ticket. But I want to hear if other have had the same issue. Suddenly a list is not accessible??? Anyone?

We are also facing the same issue and raised the ticket with Microsoft. However, we didn't yet get the proper response from Microsoft. It is very critical for us as our customers have started complaining about this. all of their data are gone as they cannot access it. We have been losing subscriptions because of this issue.

I have been informed that it might have been due to a regular update that Microsoft are performing. They are making backend updates all classic site to modern. Based on my presentation and the data I provided a guy from Microsoft think it could be one of these updates that has gone wrong on some tenants or sites. In our case, some tenants and sites got a problem, not all. It is the exact same set up and versions on all. It is still a major problem because it means customers cannot access a critical application nor can they connect with Power BI. This is a major issue.

I have been advised to continue pushing support for an answer and a solution. I recommend you do the same.

I will keep this updated and put my trust in Microsoft support for a quick answer and solution.
