Safe Links rewrite behaviour.

Hello,

I am noticing some weird behaviour of Safe Links when POC-ing in my environment. Most links will show as the original unless hovering over the link (as expected)

and some links are completely rewritten in the body of the email (not expected).

Can anyone explain why some emails rewrite in the body and some do not? Is there a way to control this or how to know when the different behaviours occur.

Thanks.

Jarrod.

    Hi there.
You are going to hate this answer. But I have seen this inconsistency. Sometimes, simply clicking on the link "cleans" it up and sets it as a "Native Link" ( I know, weird)
I have asked about this before, but have never gotten an answer from support as to why its inconsistent even after all these years. Some sort of odd bug or who knows...:(

    Anyway, You aren't alone...

Hi @Jarrod Callander , how did you access the two messages show above, through outlook client or OWA(web access)?

The second picture is also an expected behavior, like links below show:

    link-1 & link-2

Please Note: Since the web sites are not hosted by Microsoft, the links may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of these information.

In addition, please also try visiting OWA to access the mail and check the result again, to see whether it has the same behavior.
