Chat on sidebar?

Hello, when i open the bing discover sidebar, i cannot see the "chat, compose, insights" options anymore. Ive tried to fix, reset edge, and also reconnect to my Microsoft account. just shows me an option like "try new bing chat" and when i click on it nothing happens. I can only see an "discover" area with analytics, traffic, informations about the page etc. I use the last version of edge. Is it a bug, or bing chat has been removed from the edge sidebar? Thank you.

You can navigate to https://chat.bing.com/ to see if you have access to Bing Chat. If yes, you can try the following suggestions to see if they can fix your issue:

Clear Bing.com site data and cookies: Navigate to edge://settings/siteData in Edge and Search for bing.com, clear all site data and cookies from bing.com.

Make sure your network connection is reliable or use a different network connection to see if the issue is network related.

Make sure you're not using any VPN or proxy. You can check it in Windows settings> Network & internet.

i have access to bing chat, i can use it in bing.com. i cleared all the bing data but didnt work.

If you sign out your profile in Edge, then click "Discover" button, can you see a Bing chat login page like below? If still can't see the login page, you can add a new profile in Edge without signing in then click "Discover" button under the newly added profile.

If you can see the login page, can you click "Start chatting" to login with your account and use the chat service?

Yes when when i log out (or when i use another profile i just made) i can see the Bing chat login page. I click "start chatting" i login with my microsoft account but nothing happens. the "discover" tab load the same as before without the chat etc features

I dont know if that helps but i see multiple errors about "Failed to load resource" in Devtools. i also tried to delete cache and cookies again, as dns cache.

Hi @J J

It seems that the Bing service is blocked. Do you have any extensions installed in Edge? If so, you can disable or remove all the extensions and try again. Besides, I came across the scenario that some third-party software like Kaspersky will block Bing service, you can check if you have such software installed.

I deactivated avast one and all edge's extensions (only have 2). the errors still exist and the problem remains. I also checked the firewall and i dont have other security software. Is there any possibility to be faulty or for any reason suspended by bing services, or i couldnt use chat on bing.com too in that case?

As you can access Bing chat on website but can't use that in Discover, that might be some issue with the Discover Bing chat feature. As we have tried almost every solution I can think of, but still can't fix, I suggest you provide feedback about the issue by pressing Send feedback in Discover.
