Currently, I am using Win11 and Office 2016 Professional. Usually, when I right-click on an image in a slide and select "Change Picture (A)", a dialog box with three options will appear:

  1. From a File
  2. Bing Image Search
  3. OneDrive - Personal Today, I suddenly couldn't select any of these three options (clicking them had no response). The reason is unknown. Previously, I could select option 1 to browse and change the desired image file on my computer. This issue also occurred in Word, not just in PowerPoint. I have tried:
  4. Restarting the computer
  5. Uninstalling and reinstalling Office
  6. Opening PPT in Safe Mode, but the dialog box options are still unresponsive. Is there any solution to this issue?

    Hi @李 家輝

On my test environment with Office 2016 Professional Plus installed, I found I can enter characters in Bing Image Search box.

    Capture20

Please try to enter some text and search it, and choose "Word offline" as following image. Capture21

Then you may browse and insert the image. Capture22

The steps above are my test results, it works as a workaround. I will continue to research this issue, any updates I will share with you.

    Thanks for your understanding.

My computer crashed early this morning, but the problem was resolved after restarting it this morning. I am now able to click on the three options for inserting pictures. However, I still don't know the cause of the problem. It could have been a temporary issue, or it may have been caused by a particular service that crashed. After restarting, the service also restarted, and the problem with not being able to click on the options was resolved during subsequent testing. However, this is a bit contradictory, as I'm not sure why the previous reboot my computer didn't work. Thank you for your help!
