Every time I open any Excel file, there is one file (i.e. filename.xlsb) that automatically opens first and gives the message: "No errors were detected in file name 'filename.xlsb'. No repairs were necessary" How do I stop this file from constantly opening everytime I open another Excel file?

    Hi @CR-5276

I want to confirm whether the 'filename.xlsb' is 'personal.xlsb', that you want one or more macros to load when Excel starts?

Please open your files in Excel safe mode to have a check, this action may help you troubleshoot the COM add-ins and startup items.

    • Press Win + R to open Run dialog.
    • Enter excel /safe to run Excel in Safe Mode.
    • Open some Excel files for a check.

If this message does not appear when Excel opened in Safe Mode, I suggest you go to File > Options > Add-ins > Manage COM Add-ins, click Go, Clear the check boxes for any enabled COM add-ins, select OK.

Then locate to %Appdata%\Microsoft\Excel\XLStart, temporarily move the file or folder to other locations if there is.

If this issue still occurs, I'd like to suggest you perform an online repair for Office from Control Panel.
