Dir Sirs, in the past we had deployed in our company the "legacy microsoft laps".. installing local msi package on each computer and configuring the legacy group policy. we can set it "Computer Configuration - Administrative templates (retrieved from central store) - LAPS" now I've read on this article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/identity/laps/laps-overview so what we need to do is unistall old client deployed on each computers, disable the laps legacy emulation mode and then reconfigure it using the settings on "Computer Configuration - Administrative templates (retrieved from central store) - System - LAPS" My problem is this... I cannot find the new laps settings on the group policy editor... I've already installed the new admx templates for windows 11 and 2022 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/104593 Administrative Templates (.admx) for Windows 11 2022 Update (22H2) in the central store.. I've already force replication on all domain controller but this option is missing... What's wrong ? what should I do ?

Hi Filippo, i've just managed to solve this issue. In the April 2023 update the admx is updated only on the local machine, so you need to retrieve the specific "LAPS.admx" and the "en-US\LAPS.adml" files under the folder in "%windir"\PolicyDefinitions" on a DC and copy it into the main repository (\DOMAIN\SYSVOL\DOMAIN\Policies\PolicyDefinitions). Wait for the replication to occour. Regards.

    Hello Filippo Micalizzi,

Thank you for posting in our Q&A forum.

Based on your description, you have used Central Store to retrieve ADMX and ADML.

    On DC, please check:
1.Did you put the ADMX file to location below?
    \domain.com\SYSVOL\domain.com\policies\PolicyDefinitions

2.And did you put ADML file to location below?
    \domain.com\SYSVOL\domain.com\policies\PolicyDefinitions\en-US

3.And check if ADMX files retrieved Central Store below?
    central

    4.Check AD replication is OK.

If you have any question or concern, please feel free to let us know.
