win 32 apps failing at ESP during autopilot with error code-0x87D30067

win 32 apps failing at ESP during autopilot with error code-0x87D30067 which updates to error code stating detection failure and app is not at all installed on this device. this is not the scenario for all devices, its on few machine where it is noticed to be failed. any help to fix the issue is appreciated.

@svjs-0437 , From the error code, it shows the installation is failed during unzip the package. We can see more details in the following link:

Note: Non-microsoft link, just for the reference.

Please check what is the install behavior for this Win 32 app. Is it set as System. Please change to system to see if it it is working.

However, if the issue still persists, please collect the following information to clarify:

Did it affect all the Autopilot devices?
What are the devices that install successfully? Could you tell us the difference between the working one and the failed one?
Go through the logs under ProgramData\ Microsoft\IntuneManagementExtension\Logs to see the detailed error,

Thanks for the response.

I had already gone through the page you have shared, it only says the error occurred, not a resolution for the same. The app is configured in system configuration and as mentioned, it is not failing for all devices.

to answer your query

no

there is no difference in machine other than serial number, it same model of device with same OS on them

only info about detection failure, not sure if this is pre-deployment or post deployment error.

SAP is a complex package. As suggested previously, I think you should make it available for user to install themselves from the Company Portal app. Limit to only core apps and relevant configuration for Autopilot.

But can it not be solved otherwise, the package installed on almost 30+ devices and suddenly it started breaking apart.

I am sure it can be fixed. If it stopped working all of a sudden then maybe it is time to re-visit the SAP setup. Possibly use a different detection logic.

Also, the suggestion for making deployment 'Available' was just to help you progress with Autopilot. If it is not installing as available, then you will need to check the setup.

@svjs-0437 ,From your description, the SAP stops working suddenly. Please check if the SAP has any change and try to download the latest one to install on enrolled device as a test.

apologies for delay was away from work.

reattempting an available deployment on a test machine after a days gap worked fine with same package. post manual clean up the required installation also worked fine, on the same test machine and another deployment. But the user machine where it failed earlier is still stuck with the detection failed error, is there any way to fix the error quickly on the device. As its a user device would not have much time for troubleshooting, any way to fix this, not sure how it worked on the test device,

@svjs-0437 , If it only affects a few devices, to install the application in a quick method. Maybe we can consider to remote to the machine and manually install the SAP application.

this would be my last and least preferred option as this is an application 95% of the users require.
if it starts failing on most upcoming deployment (hope not) then i will be in a position to manually install this for all which is not ideal as the customer expect a non interfered deployment for each users.

@svjs-0437 , I fully understand your feeling. If some devices are failed during the previous deployment, troubleshooting on the issue is recommend. This needs log analysis. As logs may include some privacy information in our environment, to protect our environment, it is suggested to open case to work on this. .

But as we all know, the logs can be different in different devices. The reason, also can be different. The troubleshooting can take time. So if it only a few customers. manually install can be a method to quick fix the issue.

In the previous post, I notice the affected device is stuck with detraction failure error.. But in the previous screenshot, the error is with unzipping. If we can see the details error in the log, maybe we can provide some suggestions on this.

Some apps can be problematic during Autopilot. Which app is it? Do you have the option to make it available to the user in the Company portal app after the provisioning is done?

this is SAP package of around 990MB, installing SAP GUI, its package and SAP Business client.
