Hi dear friends,

I have a dedicated server from Hetzner network. They are have about 500mbps download /300mbps upload speed. But when i install windows server (server 2012 and 2019) that upload speed is very down about 15-20mbps.

I use iis with default config. My test file is 3.7gb iso file. When i download from windows iis website i get 1.5megabyte/s speed from my home(i have 50mbps internet). But when i try it with linux rescue system and apache2 i got 6megabyte/s speed from my home. So my home maximum download speed already 5-6mb/s. But i dont understand why getting slower when i try it on server 2012 and 2019. I try many think, i need help.

I'd ask the service provider https://www.hetzner.com/support-center about this or possibly ask for help in their forums.

    Hello @Murat Kandil ,

    Thank you for posting here.

Do you mean you install Windows OS and non-WIndows OS (linux rescue system or apache2) on the same dedicated server from Hetzner network and got the result?

1.If not, we can try to install Windows OS on this server and check the upload speed or download speed . Then reinstall non-WIndows OS (linux rescue system or apache2) on the same dedicated server, then check the upload speed or download speed.

2.If the upload speed or download speed is not related to hardware of this server.

Then we can check if the speed is related to Hetzner network.

3.If the upload speed or download speed is not related to hardware of this server and Hetzner network. Then we may check if it is related to OS intalled on this server.

Hope the information above is helpful.

    Best Regards,
    Daisy Zhou
