Manually triggered pipeline not showing activity runs in synapse monitoring

I triggered a pipeline manually, it was supposed to be run for 30 hours or more. today when i restarted my computer and re logged in in the azure synapse analyics, it is just showing the pipeline is running and not showing the activity runs.

Hi Prayag, If you manually triggered a pipeline in Azure Synapse Analytics, and it was supposed to run for at least 30 hours, but when you logged back in, the system only showed that the pipeline was running and not displaying any activity runs, don't worry. It could be that the system is still synchronizing, and it might take some time to show the activity runs. However, if you want to check the status of your pipeline, you can go to the Azure Synapse Analytics portal and navigate to the workspace where your pipeline is located. Then, select the "Author & Monitor" option, and from the dropdown menu, choose "Monitor." Look for the pipeline that you triggered manually and check its status in the "Pipeline runs" section. If your pipeline has already finished running, it should show a green tick mark. If it failed, you will see a red cross. Click on the failed pipeline run to view the details of the error and take corrective action accordingly. In case your pipeline is still running, and you can't view the activity runs, try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache. I hope this helps?

Hello, Thanks for the reply, but I have checked in author and monitor tab only but I can only see the pipeline as running but no activity runs, just blank. pipeline is showing as running. Checked by changing the browser but no luck cleared the cache.

Additionally, you have attempted to fix the issue by switching browsers and clearing your cache, but this did not resolve the problem. To troubleshoot further, I would do the following: Check the pipeline's logs: You can view the pipeline's logs by going to the "Pipeline runs" tab in Synapse Studio, selecting the running pipeline, and clicking on the "Output" tab. This will show you the logs of the pipeline run. Look for any error messages or warnings that could explain why the activity runs are not appearing. Check the pipeline's dependencies: If the pipeline has dependencies on other components such as linked services or datasets, it's possible that there is an issue with one of these dependencies that is preventing the activity runs from appearing. Verify that all dependencies are working correctly and try running the pipeline again. Verify that the activity runs are actually executing: It's possible that the activity runs are executing but not being displayed properly in Synapse Studio. Is this issue specific to that particular trigger run? Or is it the same behavior even if you cancel that run and retrigger manually?

If it is consistent for other trigger runs too then, I recommend filing a support ticket for deeper investigation as it needs troubleshooting.

In case if you don't have a support plan, please let me know.

I found out there is a difference in debug and triggering manually, if we ran the pipeline in debug mode instead of manual trigger it does not shows the live status of succeeded tasks. However manual trigger does.
I was doing the debug run instead of manual trigger.
