How can I use sharepoint as a video data base?

Is there a possibility to use sharepoint as a database for video and picture footage? Is a quick Overview and sharing possible? How do I set this up for my company?

    Microsoft Stream built on SharePoint is available and provides high quality video playback, rich media experiences, great manageability. Older versions of SharePoint have a Video and Rich Media Feature you may want to give it a try. Here you can find more information how to set it up.
