Azure Active Directory redirects to homepage instead of stated path

Question

Hi,

Currently have SSO enabled for example.com website. Regardless of the URL entered it always redirects to the homepage if it's the first authentication session in the current browser. All paths to the website, redirects the user back to the homepage.

Can anyone advise why this is happening, I would expect a link in an email to land to the specified page, not redirect the user to the homepage.
