Capture.PNGwhen I am using the server manager I get an error when trying to install a roll or feature saying that the server is pending restart.

Windows event viewer saying 7036 event ID, the network setup service entered a stop state.

Nothing to go on but I'd start by checking the hardware has support here and with manufacturer.

There are quite a few reasons why a machine needs to be restarted. Here's a link to many of those reasons: https://adamtheautomator.com/pending-reboot-registry/

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out.

The typical "service X is stopping" message that you would anticipate seeing during a planned shutdown is Event ID 7036.

Look for the event that causes those things to happen before those things happen.

The registry key PendingFileRenameOperations at the location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlSession Manager might be deleted as a workaround.

Please take note: Export the registry key before making the changes, and take caution when doing so as incorrect registry modifications could have major consequences.
