I have a windows server 2019 essentials server. I wanted to know what Microsoft has planned for my server as far as upgrades - I have software that CANNOT be put on a virtual server and I only have 8 employees and I have to have AD......for the past 20 years my server with software has never exceeded $2000 so how does MS intend to support all of the loyal small businesses that bought into the Essentials version?

    Hi,

Have you considered a new server running Windows Server 2022 Essentials?

    Hello there,

Windows Server 2019 follows the Fixed Lifecycle Policy. The Fixed Lifecycle Policy applies to many commercial and some consumer products currently available through retail purchase and/or volume licensing. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/policies/fixed

We recommend upgrading to the latest version of Windows Server. Running the latest version of Windows Server allows you to use the latest features – including the latest security features – and delivers the best performance.
