When we install Exchange Server 2016 (CU23) but all existing database are dismount. and show error active manager operation failed mapiExceptionNoaccess: unable to mount database

We tried check step and prerequisite everything are work fine and successful and then all database exchange server 2010 SP3 with (Rollup 32) are dismount but we try to mount database again but show error occur active manager operation failed mapiExceptionNoaccess: unable to mount database (hr=0x80070005) and we try to check legacy Exchange 2003/2007 garbage object but not found on adsiedit.msc (Exchange organization) or anything else. please help us to found out more solution.Untitled.png

There can be multiple reasons for this error:

Missing transaction log files

Exchange Information Store unable to start

Not enough free disk space on the database or log file volume

Exchange “Dirty Shutdown”

Corrupt Exchange Database Files

This issue occur after Install Exchange server 2016 but before everything are work fine and then we tried to mount database again but the same error active manger operation failed also we tried to check event log .please see this below.

1.Please try to run IPconfig /all to check whether your DNS is the IP of DC.

2.Please check whether the exchange can communicate with DC normally.

3.Has your exchange2016 been installed normally and can it run successfully?

4.What version is your DC, did anything change to the DC when you installed exchange2016?

= complete and not found any problem

Hi Ronnachai Chintan,

Have you tried creating a new database to see if it can mount and migrate mailboxes normally?

You can also use the Eseutil tool to view the status of your database.

To check the Exchange Server database file (EDB) header information using the Eseutil /mh command, you can follow the steps below:

Open the CMD command line window.

Enter the directory where the Eseutil program is located. By default, Eseutil.exe is located in the "C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\Bin" directory. You can use the cd command to switch to this directory, for example: cd "C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\Bin"

Run the Eseutil /mh command, the command format is: Eseutil /mh <Path to EDB File>

where <Path to EDB File> is the full path and file name of the database file (EDB) to check.

Wait for a while, Eseutil will display the header information of the database, including database version, status, log file information, etc. If the header information is normal, Eseutil will display "State: Clean Shutdown".

If Eseutil displays "State: Dirty Shutdown", then the database file was not properly closed and may need to be restored using the Eseutil /r command.

If Eseutil displays "State: Consistent", the database file is corrupted and may need to be repaired using the Eseutil /p command.

If Eseutil displays "State: Unknown", it means that an unknown error has occurred in the database file, and further investigation and repair may be required.

Note: Before using the Eseutil tool to repair the Exchange Server database file, be sure to back up the original database file first.
