How do I cancel Defender for Cloud?

I started a trial version of Microsoft Defender for Cloud. I want to cancel it, because

  • I thought I was just defending one VM, but it looks like it's going to charge for all my resources, which is more than I can afford
  • I cannot even begin to understand it, let alone use it!

How do I cancel it before the trial period ends?

    Reference https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/defender-for-cloud/enable-enhanced-security

Go to Defender Plans under Defender for Cloud and disable the current plan

Once you are in Environment Settings, expand the tree at bottom to see your subscription.
Click on the the 3 dots at right and choose Edit Settings.
On that page you will will find Defender plans and can turn off any Plans or Cloud Workload Protections

Sorry, there's no 'Defender Plans' option under Defender for Cloud. There is 'Environment Settings', and within that my Azure subscription, but the only option in the context menu for that is 'Edit settings', which does not include an option to cancel. Do I just set all the Status switches to Off in Edit settings? Does that cancel?
