How to copy or export taskpad view to be applied to other queries

When I create a Saved Query in Active Directory Users and Computers MMC snap-in, then Create a new taskpad view and apply it to all similar nodes it will apply to new queries and folders fine. however I create a 2nd taskpad view with the same tree settings and now this new taskpad view has taken over all other views and I do not see a way to get my original view back or apply it to folders and queries without recreating the whole view from scratch. what am I missing? I can export and import the queries where can i do the same for the taskpad views?

My specific case I have a set of User Queries which I would like a set of user specific tools/commands/menus and then I have a set of computer Queries which I would like computer specific tools/commands/menus. Am I just mis-understanding how taskpads work? do I need a separate console for users and one for computers?

Thanks in Advance

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out.

On the machine where they were made, the saved queries are kept locally. You can find the XML file with the settings here: C:\Users%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\MMC\DSA). There is a capability in dsa.msc to import/export saved AD queries as XML files for transferring between machines. (Definition of an export query and an import query)
