How to fix Visio clipboard problems

I am using Visio 2016 via a university student license on Microsoft 365. I am having issues with the copy-and-paste function in Visio.

I cannot use the copy clipboard to paste a group of objects at once. I can select the diagram but when I paste, nothing shows up. I have noticed that when I paste, it also disorganises the arrangement of my other objects so I have to undo it to return to my original status. Also, I have tried pasting Visio objects into Microsoft Word but it just pastes the Visio icon. Before, I could copy and paste my diagrams into Microsoft Word without any issues. Sometimes when I copy and paste, Visio freezes and then restarts again.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Visio. It is still the same issue.

    Hi @Valerie TV,

    Firstly You could try clearing the clipboard to see if it resolves the issue.

    Click Start > Settings > System > Clipboard > Clear (under Clear clipboard data).

    Also have a try to use the shortcut ctrl + C and ctrl + V to copy and paste.

    Clicking Paste Special... and see if it works.

    If the Paste option works in the Safe Mode, enable your Add-ins one by one until you hit that one that is causing the conflict. Leave that one disabled or uninstall it. For more information, see Adding or Removing Add-ins and Working with Office Safe Modes..
