Is there any way to secure an azure speech services API key?

Generally I would use a serverless function to run processing on some input and then return something from that. However, due to the nature of the service; sending and generating audio - I think the serverless approach will not work very well for my use-case.

Are there any other options?

@Conrad Yes, you could use Azure AD authentication with your speech service resource.

All other authentication options available with cognitive service resource should work with speech resource too, including using Azure key vault.

May I ask your question: "Why is no audio data returned from Speech SDK speakTextAsync() despite executing succesfully?" Is there a solution? In React Native!

@Chenxu He Sorry, I've only just seen your comments. This package is old but the source code is solid: https://www.npmjs.com/package/react-native-text-to-speech-edge. I also created a new one that works with an authorisation token here: https://www.npmjs.com/package/polybot-tts which I will try to keep up to date.
