I am in an online school and would like to have a separate desktop for my school stuff. I know that means adding another user account, but I don't need a school or work account that hooks up to an outside system, just a local account on my machine. Do I have to have a different Microsoft account as well or can I use the same MS account for more than one "user"?

Local account is different from Microsoft account.

By the way You can use the same MSA on as many computers as you want.

If I read the title of thread correctly, no, you can't have more than one user on same Microsoft account.

If you add a Microsoft account with your email ID, it is counted as an account. Now you can't create another Microsoft account on same system with same email ID. However, you can add any other user account as local account without email ID.
