Azure cognative services face API UK South server problem

Question

All of our Face API connections started failing today (4th May 2023) and on further investgation we have found that any resources linked to the UK south region no longer work even if we create a new one

if we create a new resource linked to the North europe region it seems to work fine

the Azure staus monitor says that Face API is working ok on the UK south server but from our perspect its broken

Has anyone else experienced this issue and is there a way of resolving it ,
