Capslock key isn't working on Windows 11

Following this old thread, I have found that the same issue I'm currently experiencing with my brand-new PC and brand-new Windows 11 installation is a 2021 bug.

I would like to know if there is any fix for it.

What happens is: capslock works perfectly prior to booting. After Windows 11 kicks in, the capslock function no longer works. Simple as that.

I have tried and tested three different keyboards which are working flawlessly on other systems, to no avail.

My build:

Ryzen 5600X
Gigabyte B550M DS3H
Radeon R290X
2x 16GB Patriot 3600
1TB Crucial P3 PCIe M.2

Any directives for that?

Please DO NOT send me to Windows 11 configurations to try and activate Stick Tones or to alternate capslock to the SHIFT button. I have tried all configurations but this is not a configuration matter. It is a bug.

Please try the steps below.

Run the SFC scan & update all pending updates for your Window, below is the link for the complete guide.

Update your Keyboard driver. Right-click the Windows start > select Device Manager > Find the Keyboards and expand it > Right-click the drivers and select Update. If that doesn't work, follow the same steps but instead of updating, right-click and select uninstall. Restart your computer.

I have done those steps prior to posting. Sorry I wasn't clear.

I have removed every driver from keyboards that were installed, restarted the PC, let each keyboard manage the drivers it needed. After that I tried to updated each of the drivers from my three keyboards, with no luck.

My windows is a brand new installation and every update is installed. SCF scannow also didn't work.

As stated, I have tried and tested three different keyboards. The capslock function is working fine in all three when in other PCs and during BIOS.

This narrows down the issue to a Windows 11 bug, reason why I posted an 2021 thread were users reported the same issue.

The fact that in 2023 I'm experiencing the same issue, shows us that Microsoft didn't fixed it, or at least didn't fix it in every instance it could happen.

I'm an experienced IT professional and I can assure you, this issue cannot be fixed user side. MS must step up.
