An excel workbook accessed via Teams will not allow formatting.

We currently have a few workbooks being accessed by the team via Teams.
Earlier this week, users haven't been able to format the cells.

Yes, there is worksheet protection, however it has the following options Allowed:

Select Locked Cells
Select Unlocked Cells
Format Cells
Format Column
Format Rows
Use AutoFilter
Edit Objects
Edit Scenarios

Accessing the same workbook via Teams Online is still not allowing formatting. Opening the Workbook in the Desktop App will allow formatting. Yes I know that's a workaround, however this feature has been working fine until this week?

I've just checked the Service Health, and none of the Active Issues relate to this.

Any suggestions?

    Hi,

It's possible that there may have been an update or change to the Teams or Excel online platform that is causing this issue. Here are a few suggestions from my side-

    1. Check if there are any updates available for Excel online or Teams. Updating to the latest version may resolve the issue.
    2. It's possible that there may have been a change to the settings accidentally or by another user. Maybe try checking once.

Try opening the workbook in a different web browser or clearing the cache and cookies in the current browser. Sometimes, browser issues can affect how Excel online works.

    1. Make sure that the users who are trying to format the cells have the necessary permissions. If they have been recently added to the team or their permissions have been changed, it's possible that they may not have the necessary access to format the cells.

    Best Regards.
