Notification no longer appearing in notifications centre

Hi,

I have Windows 11 Professional (Version:22H2 Build:22621.1555) installed on my PC. Notifications are displayed as usual and a small blue number appears in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

However, recently, when the notification disappears so does the small blue number. When clicking on the bottom right hand corner of the screen the notifications panel appears but now it is always empty.

Before (about a month or so ago) I would receive notifications on the screen. After they disappeared they would be shown when clicking in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. I could then remove them by clicking on the cross next to the notification in the usual way.

Now if I receive a notification and I am not at my PC the notification is effectively lost. Is there any way to revert back to the notifications being stored until I click on them to be removed?

Any help much appreciated.

P.S. I have tried the steps outlined in the following link with no success:

    Hello,

    based upon the information provided.

Next, you need to verify the notification settings on Windows 11 to make sure apps and contacts are allowed to push notifications. Here’s how.

Step 1: Press Windows key + I to launch the Settings app and go to Notifications.

Step 2: Enable the switch next to Notifications if it isn’t already. Further, you can also check if your favorite apps can send notifications.

    DISABLE FOCUS ASSIST

Step 1: Press Windows key + I to open Settings and go to Focus assist.

Step 2: Now set the Focus assist to Off.

    Also

Step 1: Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc on your keyboard to quickly launch the Task Manager.

Step 2: In the Task Manager window, click on the More details option to expand it

Step 3: In the Process tab, scroll down to find Windows Explorer. Select it and then hit the Restart button at the bottom.

    and

Step 1: Right-click on the Start menu icon and select the Windows Terminal (admin) option from the resulting menu

Step 2: Type in the command given below and press Enter.

    sfc /scannow

After completing the scan, reboot your PC and see if the issue is resolved.

    And see if it helps,

    Thank you
