    Hi @AC,

Thanks for posting in the community.

This is the reason why Text Message Notification is not available:

A close-up of a message Description automatically generated with low confidence

If you are using SharePoint on-Prem, you can go to CA->System Settings-> E-Mail and Text Messages(SMS)-> Configure outgoing e-mail and SMS alerts.

    1.Configure outgoing email:

    • Install and configure the SMTP service
    • set the application credential key on your servers(only if you using SharePoint Server 2019)
    • Configure outgoing email for a farrm.

For more details, you can refer to the following link:

    2.Configure SMS Alert:

    • Obtain the SMS Gateway by registering to any of the SMS gateway providers or Setup your own SMS Gateway.
    • Import the root certificate of the service provider's Root certificate and create a trusted root authority.
    • Configure Mobile account settings in SharePoint central Administration.(CA->System Settings-> E-Mail and Text Messages(SMS)-> Configure outgoing e-mail and SMS alerts.)
    • Create Alerts/Use third-party applications to use the SMS alerts.

If you are using SharePoint online, there is an App (add-in) available in SharePoint App Store: SMS for Office (Send SMS Via SharePoint List) ,but this is a paid app.

1)Navigate to the Site where you want to add Alerts, go to Site Contents->New ->App and search SMS for Office (Send SMS Via SharePoint List). If you do not find it, you can go to SharePoint store to find it.
