Can someone share if any documentation is available for version compatibility comparison for migrating SQL server database to PostgreSQL.

Like what SQL server version is compatible with PostgreSQL.

Can we migrate SQL server 2008R2,2012 to PostgreSQL 14?

As discussed internally, the reply we received is there is no notion of compatibility between SQL and PG as they are two different engines with very different origins.

However, if your question is something different, could you please elaborate so that we can assist you better.

Since MSSQL and PostgreSQL are two separate database engines, there isn’t any compatibility matrix for migrations. I general recommendation will be to use the latest stable version of PostgreSQL for the best functionality and feature support during the migration process.
