Do we support the TSL license here https://github.com/timescale/timescaledb/blob/main/tsl/LICENSE-TIMESCALE
for time scale db in Azure while enabling it for the Postgres SQL server?
we need to utilize the full capability of timescale db which is only available under the TSL licensing scheme.

Hi @ShaktiSingh-MSFT , this statement doesn't match unfortunately with our experience. To be fair, timescales wording is a bit misleading. The community edition is still free, but the version deployed with Azure is actually licensed under Apache and does provide a limited feature set: https://docs.timescale.com/about/latest/timescaledb-editions/
If you try to use features of the community version, you'll get this error:
And since you don't have access to the postgres config files, you can't enabled it, too: https://www.timescale.com/forum/t/upgrade-your-license-to-timescale-to-use-this-free-community-feature/677/2
Can you give an updated statement on any possibilities / plans to give access to the Community Edition?
Without this, we're actually not able to use the Azure Database anymore, as we depend on the compression. Otherwise paying the storage wouldn't be profitable for us anymore (~2GB/day new data).

As documented - Extensions - Azure Database for PostgreSQL - Flexible Server | Microsoft Learn –“ Third party extensions offered in Azure Database for PostgreSQL - Flexible Server are open source licensed code. Currently, we don't offer any third party extensions or extension versions with premium or proprietary licensing models.”
As far as capabilities available in Timescale under different licensing customer should be looking at their docs at - Timescale Documentation | Compare TimescaleDB editions it should show differences between Apache OSS Licensed edition we use vs their licensed “Community” edition.
