SharePoint Online Site Templates Distorted

Hey there,

So, I'm going to try and describe my problem as best as I can and hopefully, someone out there has encountered it before.

I have designed and launched multiple site collections on SPO - one tenant, using different templates. On most sites, I am using the template called "Project Management"

Everything was working just fine until recently when all sites with the above template kind of lost the original view. Simply put, the view is now distorted, and sort of jumbled up. While the original template had a taskbar of some sort on the right with a few items, the current view has those items at the top of the page instead (with no right taskbar/pane), and the rest of the content follows. So now I just have one page with web-parts in normal sections. But the right pane no longer exists and its contents are spread out in the main page.

Project Management Template

The above is the original view which is what I desire to restore. The current view does not have the right pane and all items are placed on top of the center page content.

This is frustrating as it has happened across board on all the sites with the template. I have the same view on my test account, and also when I log in using a different PC & Browser.

I am in the process of confirming if I am the only one with the weird view in the tenant. ps. I have global admin rights

Any help on this will be highly appreciated

    Hi @James Waweru ,

I understand what you said, when we create a "Project Management" site template, there will be a taskbar/pane on the right side of the site home page, which contains web parts such as Countdown timer.

It is recommended that you first check to see if someone manually deleted the right section.

Page details in the Home page->Version history->Whether there is a deletion or modification record

I haven't been able to reproduce your situation, as a workaround, maybe you can manually add vertical section on a SharePoint modern page(Just like the rendering you expect).
