hi, in the image below i show a tablix built for me by the report builder's wizard. how can i now make the detail portion starting with customer PO forextracolumnquestioninmatrix

show on the next line after the row group display? the reason i ask is that i'd like to add a text box to the right of the row group without limiting my real estate in columns. i'm already aware that if i flip this to be "stepped", that the sub total will show on the row group line but i'd like t see first if i can get it the other way around.

    Hi @db042190

Your description is a bit vague and I'm not very clear about what kind of result you're trying to achieve. Can you show an example of the result you want?

    Best regards,

    Aniya

thx aniya. apparently you can rt click (the item as recall) and select "add a row below" outside of the group . to be more clear about the original question, where you see sum(qty_ship...i wanted that to be where the detail moved down to and then everything else to move down one row. that way, to the right of item, i can create cells with other info that is related to the item, not the detail row group.

i'm not sure why this didnt post the first time.

it looks like you can rt click item and add a row beneath outside of group.

that way you can add cells to the right of item that are more directly related to item.

And the detail now shows where sum(qty_ship... was and everything moves down a row.
