Hello I am new to all of this, please excuse my lack of jargon and understanding.

I am currently in the Microsoft Learn module, "Describe the core architectural components of Azure" trying to complete unit 7 " Describe Azure management infrastructure."

However, in following the directions of Task 1: Create a virtual machineErrorNote.JPG. I do not end with a VM, but "Validation failed for the following tab: Networking. Required information is missing or not valid." (Please see attachments).

I am using the Pay as you go Azure portal subscription, the license is new, less than a week old.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

    Hi,

To create a VM in Azure, you will need to provide information like name, SKU etc in Basic tab and then in Networking tab, you will need to provide information like VNET where you are going to place this VM which is mandatory. Can you check if you have provided the VNET information while creating the VM ?

    Hello, @C Hightower !

In this case, there are additional networking configuration settings that aren't included in the lesson. I'll list those below and notify the content author. Thank you for reporting this!

    Where am I seeing this?

How do I complete Task 1: Create a virtual machine?

You'll need to complete the fields as instructed, and review network settings to make sure that everything has populated correctly.

    Basics:

If you select Review + create now, you may get a Networking error:

Go to the Networking tab and confirm that all network settings have been configured correctly:

After networking settings have been properly configured, Review + create will now be successful:
