Steps:

Windows 10, encryption on (by the bitlocker). Key backuped -> pendrive.

Now - during w10 session -> insert a pendrive with the w10 installation -> for FULL RESET (no files and no settings hold).

Start the W10 installer, done.

W10 installer working, gathering updates, working. Restarting, working, done.

Asking for some option input, given, done.

Local account created with password, done.

Installation of updates till the last one, done.

Restart, done.

Installation and customisation, done.

-> Changing PC name, done.

Restarting, done.

-> Bitlocker asking for key...

Checking pendrive - backuped key is for other ID, not working!!!

Unable to bypass Bitlocker...

Question -> Is Only solution -> format all system drive partitions to avoid complications. Start from zero...

The BIG PROBLEM is the fact, that Bitlocker or /and Windows10 installer, or / and fresh Windows 10 DO NOT PROMPT you on any step, that if you want to full reset, you should decrypt everything (and it is really not best or fast option, if you have other large full of data hdd disks encrypted, and yet bitlocker want to decrypt everything, not only system partition / disk), and is not telling you, that there will be new active Bitlocker encryption after installation at all and - big mistake - IT do NOT PROMPT for the backup of NEW bitlocker key!!! Should be doing that, if there is encryption on, like the first thing / prompt, after first login! Surprise really unwelcome one.

    Hello,

    based upon the information provided.

    You need to Turn off the Bitlocker key while performing the full reset to the pc.

    And see if it helps,

    Thank you
