Hey everyone we have a client that would like to move from a redirected to file server to onedrive known folders. We have set up the new GPO on a server 2012 r2. Enable a few policies one of them is silent move. We wanted to do a test so we removed one of the newer users from the folder redirect policy and set her up in the onedrive policy. She has almost no items redirected so not much to lose. but for some reason the desktop and documents still point to the folder redirected server.

Anyone else run into any issues and if so how did you fix it

thanks

    @stavros mitchell

    Could you please test on a clean PC in your organization's domain to check whether this issue could be reproduced?

    I also suggest you disabled "Silently move Windows known folders to OneDrive" policy for a test, as there is a number of errors can prevent this setting from taking effect, such as:

    • A file exceeds the maximum path length
    • The known folders aren't in the default locations
    • Folder protection is unavailable
    • Known folders are prohibited from being redirected

    More information, please refer to "Silently move Windows known folders to OneDrive"
