Microsoft RDP unable to connect after update (MAC VENTURA 13.3.1)

I had updated my Microsoft RDP via App store yesterday. Shortly after, I cannot access my server CPU. The error message is

"Your session ended because of an error. If this keeps happening, contact your network administrator for assistance.

Error code: 0x4"

On my Mac, I had uninstalled the App, restarted the computer, restarted my internet, updated my Macbook version, but error still persists.

My iPhone connects to the server using the Microsoft RDP app successfully though. So I think it is a Mac issue.

Please assist if possible, thank you!

    Hello 『臻』★ Jamie

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform, thanks for posting your query here.

Post update of the RDP app on your Mac has caused compatibility issues.

    • Try connecting to your server using a different remote desktop client on your Mac. This will help you determine if the issue is specific to the Microsoft RDP app or if it's a more general problem with your Mac's remote desktop functionality.
    • Check your server's event logs for any errors or warnings related to the remote desktop connection. T

Try rolling back to an earlier version of the Microsoft RDP app on your Mac. If you were able to connect successfully before the update, this may be the quickest way to restore functionality.

    • Try resetting the app to its default settings. Open the Microsoft RDP app on your Mac, go to "Preferences", and then click on the "Reset" button. This will reset the app to its default settings, which may help resolve the issue.

    Hope this helps.

Microsoft RDP is working on a set of computers for me, and for some, it stopped. It gives the same error code 0X4 and message 'contact system admin for assistance if it persists.

I've had a similar issue, where I could no longer connect to my Company's RDGATE RDP Servers to reach my workstation. I've found that rolling back to v.10.5.2 (1863) restored my connectivity. Any version after that has yet to work, including the 2088 version released a few days ago. I've tried each new release, and up until now, I've had to rollback to 1863 each time.

    Hey,

I also tried rolling back to v.10.5.2 (1863) and the computers still get 0x4.

Is there any other solutions? They have Mac Ventura 13.4.1. Macbook 2019 I9 32gb RAM
